Every holiday I love doing crafts with Emma for the grandparents. Now that she is getting older it is getting more fun to craft with her. At 22 months she is starting to understand instructions with crafting. For the Fall season we had some painting fun, whats cool is once Noah makes his arrival I can recreate these crafts with him as well.
We geared more towards halloween with these crafts. They all revolved around hand/ foot prints. Emma is really into painting right now and me allowing her to get her feet and hands painted was a blast to her. She understood to stamp her hands and feet on the paper.
SUPPLIES
- washable finger paint
- black sharpie marker
- marker of choice to write on paper
- construction paper or canvas
- picture frame (optional)
- small paint brushes.
I went with construction paper so I could frame these crafts for my mom and MIL. They love hanging Emmas crafts up
From Emmas handprints we made witches, spiders and fall leaves. With her feet we made ghosts and candy corn. I painted Emma and allowed her free range to stamp her hands and feet. Once all the hand and feet prints were stamped and dried I went ahead and did the finishing touches on all of the artwork.
This was Emmas first time “helping” and understanding the crafts we did and we had so much fun. Do you do holiday crafts with your kids? If so what are you doing for fall / halloween?
