I’ve been asked about my hair care routine a lot lately, and I have been testing out a new hair care system for about 3 weeks so I wanted to make sure I used it enough to be able to give you guys an honest review. The products I have been using are from a rand called Niucoco. They sent me the hair essentials bundle which included shampoo, conditioner and a hair serum. I am pretty picky and have had to return a lot of shampoos and conditioners because a lot of products don’t work with my hair. My hair, like my skin is combination. It can get really oily at the roots and really dry and frizzy at the ends which makes it hard to know what products to use. After 3 weeks of using these products I am extremely happy and have had no issues with my hair at all.
Let’s dive into the deets.
Shampoo and conditioner:
Both of these have products have a lovely coconut smell that not only can you smell in the shower but the scent lasts in your hair for a while as well. I love this quality. I like to smell nice and sometimes it can be hard to find natural scents you like when you use all natural products.
With the shampoo, I did find you need to double wash. (wash, rinse, repeat) I do this anyways because I found this really helps get the oils broken down in my roots. The first time it won’t suds in your hair, don’t worry wash it out and shampoo for a second time then it suds’ up more and really can clean. The conditioner is really thick and honestly a little goes a long way. Personally, because I have oily roots and dry ends I start with the conditioner in the bottom of my hair and work my way up to the crown of my head but I don’t put any in my roots. Not sure if this makes a difference at all but I leave the conditioner in while I shave, wash my face and so forth.
Hair serum:
After my shower, I dry my hair and add the serum In before blow or air drying. I start at the ends and work it up the crown of my hair, and this I do work into my roots as well (whatever is left over) and I haven’t noticed it cause any oil problems in my hair. After this I dry and style. I use the serum in my hair every other to every 2 days when I notice it getting a little dry and frizzy looking and especially after a curl. When my hair is dry I do not put the serum in my roots only my ends. The serum smells absolutely amazing as well and gives such a nice smoothing look.
My Thoughts:
In the end, I absolutely love these products, they have not only made my hair feel and smell great but this company aligns with what I believe. They are safe and effective. These products are paraben free, sulfate free, vegan cruelty free and ethically sourced. They are created with 100% pure cold pressed coconut oil. I am going to continue using these products and will even purchase them once I run out. I love this hair care system and truly feel it has added vibrancy to my hair. I do need to get my hands on their dry shampoo, very interested in seeing how that works and if it smells as good as these other products I have gotten my hands on!
