I didn’t intend to get.a stroller wagon. I actually had never heard of one before, but I finally decided it was time to get a jogging stroller. It’s warming up here in Arizona and the kids and I are starting to do more activities together. As much as I love my double stroller, it’s luxury and I don’t feel like I can be rough on it. So I started doing research and came across stroller wagons.
There are about 5 options available right now. At first, I was interested in the Veer, it looked like the most suitable for all-terrain and all-around heavy-duty but yikes that price tag is hefty. There’s also the wonderfold and keenz but I wasn’t set on the builds of those, they just didn’t look as heavy-duty as I wanted, and again that price tag was painful. After more research, I finally came across the Evenflo Pivot Xplore. at $269 (on sale) this was the easiest price to settle into and it came with a lot of fun accessories.
Convincing Dustin was easy enough. I sent him a picture and he responded, “that looks cool, do you want that or a jogging stroller?”. I also found the xplore on amazon, so if I didn’t like it i knew it would be an easy return. Okay, now to dive into my review.
MY FAVORITES:
Price is definitely up there at $269-$299 it was the best price I found that also had incredible quality.
it has not one, but two UPF 50 visors. Not only do I love that there are two but they are extremely adjustable. You can move them from the back all the way to the front. very inovative and helpful to fight against the Arizona sun.
there is dual snack try with cupholder in the center of the wagon so each kid has their space to store their own things whether it be snacks or toys.
pockets! On the inside each kid gets their own pockets and mama gets two on the outside. seriously you guys, give me all of the storage.
speaking of storage, the wagon comes with a storage basket than can be relocated to the front of the stroller or removed if you don’t want it. It is a nice size and can fit my diaper bag and hydroflask and still have room.
The wheels are heavy-duty and allow a smooth ride through all terrains I have tried, Dustin was also very excited that the wheels had ball bearings
Lastly, it is super easy to flip the handlebar from a push position to a pull and adjust its length.
MY NOT SO FAVORITES
There is only a 3 point harness. Although the wagon portion is meant for 6 months plus not all 6 month olds can sit up or have the strength to be in a 3 point harness. Noah does really well but I would love the opitons for a 5 point harness and a 3 point harness as well. I do believe you can purchase a seat with a 5 point harness or a conversion for an evenflo infant seat to be used.
this is a more superficial want but I do wish it had an extra cup holder or worked well with a stroller caddy. I will see if I can find one that is compatible ( will be announcing if I find one). I love when you can have your storage, but also have as seperate place for drinks/ keys.
Aside from the minor not-so favorites I absolutely love my Xplore. The kids also love it, I’ve noticed not only is it easier for me to see and handle both kids but when we go sightseeing or to the zoo, the kids’ view is less restricted. They can see all around them which enhances their experience. I never would have thought that I would choose a wagon over a jogger but here we are and I don’t think I can go back. Have you heard of stroller wagons? If so, what is your take?
