Shortly after having Emma I saw an ad for the mockingbird stroller and I wished I would have seen it sooner. The strollers looked so cute and functional, but I already had bought a stroller for Emma and Dustin was not on board with buying a new one.
Once I found out I was pregnant with #2 I was so excited because that meant I could upgrade my stroller and I knew just what I wanted.
I ordered the Mockingbird single to double stroller with the second seat and infant car seat attachment. Something cool that Mockingbird lets you do is choose if you want the stroller shipped right away or you can have it shipped closer to your due date. I went ahead and chose ASAP so I could use it with Emma and get used to putting it together before Noah comes. The shipping did take a while but it wasn’t Mockingbirds fault, UOS was extremely backed up and they weren’t scanning tags properly, but Mockingbirds customer service was amazing and they were diligent on getting to the source of the problem and giving updates along the way.
When I finally received the stroller, I had to assemble it right away I was so excited. Mockingbird sends you an email with instructions and videos showing you how to put the stroller together. It is very helpful having the video and putting the stroller together was a very simple and quick process. I was able to assemble the single stroller and afterwards I assembled It as a double stroller as well so I would know how to do it ahead of time instead of fumbling with it while being a new mom of 2. Thinking ahead and saving myself the stress here.
The stroller is extremely sleek, it looks very high end and is high quality but doesn’t have the insanely high price that I would expect it to at first glance. I love that I could customize it with a beautiful leather handle, which is extremely comfortable and soft, as well as the color of the visor which I chose silver. The stroller has a very smooth ride and has hydraulics as well to absorb impact. I am also extremely pleased with the turn radius on the stroller as well. The old stroller I had for Emma was a pain to turn sometimes and got stuck or would turn too wide so I can definitely appreciate a stroller that turns well.
One of my favorite features id the storage. As I was outing the stroller together Emma hopped right in the bottom compartment and hung out. I am still shocked with the amount of space that is down there. Now that I am using the stroller my large diaper bag can fit right in the bottom along with other items if I wish. This will definitely come in handy for the times I am making solo trips to target or the grocery store and need the stroller instead of a cart. The storage is definitely a huge plus in my book.
Another useful function this stroller has is that you can move the seat around. When it’s a single stroller you have 3 recline options on the seat plus it can be maneuvered to face towards or away from you. There are several configurations for the seat once it converts to an infant and toddler seat or two toddler seats. This is such an important fiction because you can really cater to your children whether they’re sleeping or prefer a different position.
The stroller is extremely compact as well when it is a double, I cannot wait to test it out when I have both Kiddos, I will definitely report back with another update at that point. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. This stroller is so Cute and functional and It is so high quality for an amazing price point. This is definitely a purchase I recommend.
